Activity 7:

See if you can find examples of the following trees in Eastfield Park: ash, beech, horse chestnut, sweet chestnut, lime, holly, holly-oak, swamp cypress, walnut, and whitebeam. Some of these are harder than others but the pictures below should help.  You can also download the activity sheet with pictures.  Try to find out which are native trees and which are non-native.  (You can get some help at: www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/trees-woods-and-wildlife/british-trees/a-z-of-british-trees/.)  Try to take some pictures of the trees and possibly mark their positions on a map?  Let the FoEP know how you get on.
